A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the final forfeiture of 48 out of 57 properties allegedly linked to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), in favour of the Federal Government.<\/p>\n
The ruling followed an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which had earlier secured an interim forfeiture order over the assets as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged proceeds of unlawful activities.<\/p>\n
According to court documents, the properties are spread across Abuja, Kano and Kebbi States and include luxury residences, hotels, commercial buildings, educational institutions, factories, warehouses, filling stations and other high-value assets.<\/p>\n
The EFCC estimated the combined value of the assets at about N212 billion.<\/p>\n
The assets listed by the anti-graft agency include: Luxury duplex, Amazon Street, Maitama, Abuja.<\/p>\n
Two-wing hotel building (former Harmonia Hotels), Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
