Former Rivers State Governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory , Nyesom Wike, has reportedly pledged to recommend Julius Adamu, a former Peoples Democratic Party chairmanship candidate in Bwari Area Council, for appointment as chairman of the FCT Universal Basic Education Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a report circulating on social media, Wike made the pledge at a Rainbow Coalition meeting on October 22, where he praised Adamu for prioritising political unity over personal ambition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adamu<\/a>, a Gbagyi indigene, reportedly stepped down during the last election following Wike\u2019s appeal to support Joshua Ishaku, the All Progressives Congress candidate, and President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wike<\/a> was said to have announced that he would immediately recommend Adamu to Tinubu for the education board position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
