Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has approved the immediate release of appointment letters to 4,000 successful applicants recruited into the State Civil Service.
The Governor announced that although the appointment letters will be dated October 1, 2026, the newly recruited civil servants are to resume duties on October 2, 2026, following the Independence Day public holiday.
Governor Eno made the announcement on Friday during the presentation of the recruitment report by the Chairman of the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Ekerebong Umoh, at the Government House, Uyo.
The approval marks the conclusion of the state’s recent recruitment exercise, with the successful candidates set to officially join the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service from October 2.
