The Federal Government has officially renamed the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Coastal Highway.

Minister of Works Dave Umahi announced the decision in Abuja, stating that the renaming recognises President Bola Tinubu’s long-standing vision for the landmark infrastructure project, which he said was first conceived by Tinubu nearly 27 years ago during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State.

Umahi also disclosed that President Tinubu approved a 400-kilometre extension of the Fourth Legacy Highway, increasing its total length from 700 kilometres to 1,100 kilometres.

According to the minister, the President also approved the reconstruction of sections of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and several other key road projects aimed at improving transportation, boosting connectivity, and driving economic growth across the country.
