Burna Boy’s Love, Damini Marks Four Years With Record-Breaking Milestones

Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy is celebrating the fourth anniversary of his sixth studio album, Love, Damini, which continues to rank among the most successful Nigerian projects in global music history.

Released four years ago, the album peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200, making it the highest-charting Nigerian album on the chart.

 

It also spent 14 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the second longest-charting Nigerian album in the UK.

Love, Damini has earned Silver certification in the United Kingdom and Platinum certification in Canada, while surpassing 1.6 billion streams on Spotify, making it the second most-streamed Nigerian album of all time on the platform.

The successful acclaimed project also received two nominations, such as Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance for  Last Last at 65th Annual Grammy Awards, further cementing its impact on the global music scene.

Four years after its release, Love, Damini continues to be celebrated by fans and critics alike as one of Burna Boy’s defining works.
