American gospel music star Kirk Franklin is set to join forces with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido on a new single titled Hope In You, scheduled for release on Friday.

The song will feature on Franklin’s upcoming double album, I Am What I Am, expected to arrive on October 30.

Kirk Franklin reportedly combines seven studio recordings with seven live church performances, bringing together different sounds while maintaining the gospel singer’s signature message of faith and inspiration.

Davido is expected to bring his distinctive melodic style to the track, blending Afrobeats with Franklin’s choir driven gospel sound. The collaboration was reportedly previewed at a listening session in Atlanta, sparking excitement among fans of both artists.

The upcoming release also highlights the growing connection between gospel music and Afrobeats, showing how artists from different musical backgrounds can come together to create something meaningful.

Franklin and Davido have crossed paths before. Franklin previously opened one of Davido’s concerts with a prayer for Nigeria, a moment that reflected their shared connection through faith and music.

With Hope In You on the way, fans are eager to hear how the two artists combine their talents on a song that promises to bring together uplifting gospel sounds and contemporary African music.

Pre-save access for the single is reportedly available ahead of its release.
