Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has said that an active sex life plays a role in a woman’s radiant appearance, while also reflecting on motherhood, becoming a grandmother and her decision to avoid unnecessary public controversies.

Speaking on The Morayo Show, Ojo said happiness is not determined by marital status but by the quality of one’s relationship.

“We are happy. I think some married women are happy too. I don’t think it’s about being single or being married.

I think it’s about the person that you’re with. Sex has a lot to do with a woman’s glow. I’m getting more than enough,” she said.

The actress also described raising her children and watching them succeed as one of her greatest achievements, saying it gives her a deep sense of fulfilment.

Ojo revealed that becoming a grandmother has changed her approach to public disputes, explaining that she now avoids unnecessary controversies to protect her daughter and her family.

“I have piped down because of my grandson now. My daughter is married, so when I keep fighting, the opposite side is going to come up with different false allegations, and I don’t want her going through any stress. But if the need arises for me to speak up, then I will,” she said.

She also disclosed that she travelled to Canada to perform the traditional omugwo for her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, following the birth of her grandson.

Ojo had earlier explained that she ensured her ex-husband played an active role during Priscilla’s 2025 wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, saying she did not want their personal differences to affect their daughter.
