The Lagos State Police Command has intercepted a truck loaded with 47 sacks of military camouflage uniforms and 80 cartons of substances suspected to be illicit drugs during an intelligence-led operation in Surulere, Lagos.
Speaking to journalists in Ikeja on Tuesday, the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, disclosed that three suspects were arrested in connection with the seizure.
The suspects were identified as Chinedu David, 29; Ezeagwu Chukwuma, 38; and Ifeanyi Ogbeanyi, 45. According to the police commissioner, they were apprehended on Saturday night by operatives of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit.

Tijani said the suspects were intercepted while transporting the items in an unregistered truck allegedly bound for the South-East region of the country.

The recovered items include 47 sacks containing military camouflage uniforms and 80 cartons of substances believed to be illicit drugs.
The police commissioner noted that investigations are ongoing to determine the source and intended destination of the recovered items, as well as identify other individuals who may be connected to the operation.
The Lagos State Police Command assured residents that it remains committed to combating crime and dismantling criminal networks across the state.
