Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has kicked off his 2026 music campaign with the release of his first single of the year, “I Know Who I Be,” featuring South African artistes Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay.
The award-winning singer announced the track on Friday via his social media platforms before it became available on major streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music.
The upbeat record marks Davido’s first collaboration with Jazzwrld and further strengthens the growing musical partnership between Nigerian and South African artistes.
GL_Ceejay also features on the song, making it another notable cross-border collaboration within the Afrobeats scene.
The collaboration comes at a time when relations between some Nigerians and South Africans have periodically been strained by recurring xenophobic attacks. While Davido has not stated that the song was intended as a response to those tensions, the partnership highlights the unifying role African music continues to play by bringing artistes from across the continent together.
