Students of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, on Tuesday staged a protest over what they described as worsening insecurity and recurring robbery attacks affecting members of the university community.
During the demonstration, the students allegedly prevented the institution’s Vice-Chancellor from gaining access through the university’s main gate.
The protesters accused the university management of failing to adequately address the persistent security challenges, insisting that urgent measures be put in place to protect students and their property.
The protest follows growing concerns over repeated robbery incidents reportedly targeting students around the campus, with demonstrators demanding immediate intervention to restore safety.
