A Nigerian woman has shared a humorous account of how her court wedding night did not go as planned after her husband reportedly got drunk and fell asleep before their honeymoon could begin.

In a post that has sparked reactions online, she revealed that she deliberately wore a G-string throughout her wedding day in anticipation of a romantic night at the hotel, only for her husband to fall asleep immediately after the celebrations.
According to her, the following day he apologized and explained that he was overwhelmed with joy at becoming a husband at 43, after years of believing he would never marry.

She said he made up for the disappointing first night by taking her shopping, treating her to massages, going swimming together, and ending the trip on a happier note.
Her post
“I purposely wore a G-string underwear on my court wedding day because I thought, ‘Once we finish everything and get back to the hotel, I’m taking off my clothes and it’s officially honeymoon!’ 😂😂“But guess what? After everything, this man got drunk and slept off immediately! 😩😂“I was so mad because that underwear had already made me uncomfortable the whole day.
I was literally suffering for nothing! The string was entering my yansh and I kept using style to fix it. 😂“There he was, lying down and snoring like a pig. 😂
I went closer to cover him because the AC in the hotel room was too cold, and when I leaned over to kiss him goodnight, I could smell the alcohol from his head.“I said, ‘Chineke nna! Ogini bu ifa?’ 😂😂“The next morning, I told him I wasn’t happy.
He said, ‘Please, let me drink. I’m just so happy!’“He said he never imagined that at 43 years old, after spending years saying he would never get married, he would actually become a husband and not just any husband, but a husband to a Black Nigerian woman he met in the Philippines.
❤️“He made it up to me. He took me shopping, we got massages, went swimming, enjoyed a huge pot of delicious Filipino food, and that night… let’s just say the honeymoon eventually happened. 😂😂❤️“Looking back, I can laugh about it now.
Our wedding day wasn’t perfect, but it was ours, and it gave us one of those stories we’ll probably be telling forever.”
