Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has reportedly been remanded at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos over allegations of cyberbullying, publishing false information and sharing intimate materials without consent.
The actress, who is also identified as the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the 2027 Abia State governorship election, was arraigned on three counts relating to alleged online misconduct involving Pastor Chris Okafor.
According to the allegations, Ogala published false information, intimate photographs and videos of the cleric without his consent, while also allegedly attempting to extort him through threats made on social media.
Prosecutors claim that the alleged acts, said to have occurred between September 2024 and March 2026, caused embarrassment to the pastor.
Ogala reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Justice Akintayo Aluko subsequently ordered her remand at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending a bail hearing scheduled for October 30.
The case is expected to proceed as the court considers the actress’s bail application.
