Davido says he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 monthly on his personal needs while in Nigeria, excluding expenses on his wife, household, luxury cars and jewellery.

The Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star disclosed this during a live conversation on Davrel Twitch on Tuesday, where he compared his lifestyle and spending habits in Nigeria with those in the United States.

According to the singer, his monthly expenses are considerably lower in the US because he lives with only his wife and children, unlike in Nigeria where his activities and responsibilities lead to higher spending.

“I actually spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife and my kids,” Davido said. “When I’m around, I spend a lot more. We are balling every day.”

When asked to estimate his monthly expenditure in Nigeria, the singer said it typically falls between $200,000 and $300,000, noting that the figure excludes several major expenses.

“I can’t tell you how much, but I can tell you like 300. Normally, probably like 200 to 300. This is minus my wife and the house… that one is closed. Minus buying jewellery or buying car,” he said.

Davido also spoke about his desire to support former celebrities facing emotional and psychological challenges after losing fame and success.

The award-winning artiste said he hopes to establish a mental health therapy centre dedicated to helping former public figures adjust to life outside the spotlight.

“If there is one thing I could do, I would build a centre for people that have been popular and very successful before,” he said.
