A Canada-based Nigerian prophetess, Ezinne Nwanorue, has come under fire after publicly celebrating the death of her mother-in-law in a Facebook post, triggering widespread condemnation and renewed attention to her family’s long-running public disputes.

Nwanorue, who previously made headlines after requiring her husband to swear a public oath of fidelity before relocating to Canada, shared the funeral poster of her late mother-in-law, Comfort Nwanorue, on Monday.

In the post, she described the deceased in derogatory terms and alleged that her husband’s family had worked against her and attempted to frustrate her destiny. She further claimed that those she considered responsible for her ordeals would face divine judgment.

The post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While a few commenters expressed support for her claims, many criticized her for celebrating the death of a family member and questioned the appropriateness of such remarks.

The latest controversy follows an earlier viral incident involving Nwanorue and her husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue.

Before his relocation to Canada, she insisted that he publicly swear an oath that he would remain faithful to her, declaring that he should die if he was ever unfaithful.

Franklin accepted the condition in a widely circulated video, pledging to remain loyal to his wife and family.

Months later, Nwanorue alleged that her husband had violated the oath by engaging in an extramarital affair despite his public declaration.

Her latest social media post has once again thrust the family into the spotlight, with public debate centering on the propriety of her comments following her mother-in-law’s death.

“One wicked witch is down: my dead mother-in-law, Comfort Chika Nwanorue, rest in pieces in hell with other dead witches; your members will soon join you.

I am the weapon fashioned against all the witches and wizards and all the evil people in the world; you all shall go down in my hands. Very wicked beings.

You people should repent now and accept Christ; if not, you won’t escape the judgment of death from my hands, in Jesus’ name. Amen

These people have dealt with me in this life; they found out about my destiny, and they did everything within their power to bring me down, but I thank God for helping me discover who I am and coming through for my destiny; I am now in my season of manifestation, and no one can stop it. They will all go down in my hands as God empowers and permits me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
