Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has pledged to fully sponsor the education and welfare of the children of the late Ummulkhairi until they reach adulthood, following her killing.
The governor made the commitment on Saturday during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Maraban Jos, where he sympathised with her husband, Malam Aliyu, other relatives, and close associates over their loss.

Speaking during the visit, Sani assured the family of the state government’s continued support, promising to take responsibility for the upbringing of Ummulkhairi’s children.
He also vowed that justice would be served, stating that the 41 suspects already arrested and arraigned in court, as well as any others found to have played a role in the killing, would face the full weight of the law.
“I will ensure that justice is served on all those involved in her killing,” the governor said.

In addition, Sani disclosed that investigations would be intensified into allegations that some police officers were complicit in the murder, stressing that anyone found culpable, regardless of their position or status, would be prosecuted.
