A fire outbreak has occurred at the Bono Energy Terminal located along the Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway in the Coconut area of Olodi Apapa, Lagos.
The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) confirmed the incident on Friday, saying firefighters are currently at the scene working to contain the blaze.
LSFRS spokesperson, Shakiru Amodu, said in a statement, “The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is currently curbing a fire explosion at Bono Energy Terminal on Apapa-Oworonshoki Expressway, by Coconut, Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Update to follow.”
The cause of the fire had not been established as of the time of filing this report. Authorities are expected to provide further updates as emergency response efforts continue.
