Davido Reacts to Alleged U.S. Attention on Nigeria’s Democratic Concerns
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to what he described as growing attention from the United States to Nigeria’s political and democratic situation.
In a post shared on social media, the singer appeared to suggest that U.S. authorities had reached out following concerns surrounding developments in Nigeria.
“Dem don reach out ooooo 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😀😀😀😀 DEY PLAY! U think the rest of the world is undemocratic like Una! Una go see wetin something!” Davido wrote.
His remarks, has sparked reactions online, with many interpreting it as a reference to increasing international scrutiny of Nigeria’s democratic process.
The post comes amid heightened Osun governorship election with his Uncle Sen. Ademola Adeleke, as the Candidate of Accord Party.
When confronted by critics, Davido trace back to when Nigerians called Obama when Goodluck Johnathan was the president.
